Jim Worden brings more than 30 years of experience in closing communication gaps between stakeholder expectations and company practices. Closing gaps in communication leads to safer workers, better products and more satisfied customers.

Jim has a diverse communication background that includes directing advertising, sales promotion, public relations, trade shows, media training and crisis simulations. Since 1992, he has concentrated on developing
and implementing successful communication solutions in the face of environment, health, safety, product stewardship and competitive
product challenges.

In his 28 year career with a global, $6B, Fortune 500 Company Jim combined the disciplines of issue management and crisis communication into an Issue Resolution practice that successfully resolved issues for each of the company's global business units. He was also responsible for the formation of the Issue Management function in 1995. Jim served as the communications representative on the company's Product Stewardship Council from it’s founding in 1997 through 2007.

Jim has particular expertise working on environment, health and safety issues with trade associations on behalf of industries, products and materials. He provides communications counsel to multi-disciplinary teams on complex issues involving the International Agency for Research on Cancer, the U.S. Health & Human Service’s National Toxicology Program, the Occupational Safety & Health Administration, the National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health, the American Lung Association and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Most importantly, Jim is experienced at sharing information on these complex issues with employees, labor unions, plant communities, customers and the general public.

Since 1994, Jim has been a member of the Issue Management Council, an international organization of issue managers, and currently serves on its Board of Directors.

Jim received his degree in history, political science and psychology from the University of Michigan. He and his wife Ann reside in Perrysburg, Ohio.

"Jim has the unique ability to turn these situations into opportunities. His keen instincts, calm demeanor and true caring for all involved consistently deliver positive results. In fact it is not unusual for individuals who were once very upset to turn into advocates for our company."
